"Tumbled" or sometimes called "tumble" stones, are small pieces of rocks, minerals, and gemstones that are rounded and brightly polished. They are made by placing the rough rocks into a machine that is known as a "rock tumbler", similar to a clothes dryer, which tumbles them until they are smooth and polished. Polished tumblestones are used for the same purposes as larger crystals, however, they are much more tougher and transportable making them more durable, long-lasting and inexpensive.
